Notifications are critical in ensuring that candidates can provide information and complete their background checks promptly.
By default, Checkr sends both email and SMS notifications about the events below:
- You're requesting a background check about the candidate.
- The candidate needs to provide information for their background check.
- The background check is in progress or complete.
Disable notifications only in the situations below:
- Disable candidate invitation emails if you want to manually send candidates links to their background check invitations. Even if you disable email invitations, Checkr still emails candidates to request information.
- Disable candidate SMS notifications when you want to turn off all SMS notifications that candidates receive.
Use the steps below to disable candidate notifications in the Checkr Dashboard:
- Open the Account page.
- Select the Notifications tab.
- Disable the notifications.
