Manually order a candidate's report
When you manually order reports, you enter all candidate information and supply and retain your own candidate consent documents. Your candidate doesn't need to accept an invitation or provide additional information themselves.
To enable manual ordering for your account, submit a request on the Account page of the Checkr Dashboard. Approval takes up to two business days, after which you can manually order reports.
Admin users can change the manual orders setting on the Account page of the Checkr Dashboard.
Manually order one background check
- Log into the Checkr Dashboard.
- Select "Order background check."
- Set the candidate's location. Candidates must be in the United States (US).
- Select the "I will" radio button.
- Select "One person" and click Continue.
- Select a package and click Continue.
- Add any additional searches, as applicable. Then click Continue.
- Review and confirm you've selected the appropriate searches.
- Select the checkbox to confirm that your background check order complies with applicable laws and your agreement with Checkr.
- Select "Submit order."
After submitting your order, we'll take you to the candidate information form so you can add the candidate's remaining details.
Manually order multiple background checks
- Log into the Checkr Dashboard.
- Select "Order background check."
- Set the candidate's location. Candidates must be in the US.
- Select the "I will" radio button.
- Select "Multiple people."
- Select a package.
- Upload a CSV file containing up to 300 candidates' information, and select Continue.
- If your file has formatting errors, a message lists the affected rows. You can:
- Select Remove and re-upload a corrected file.
- Select "View complete list" to download the list of errors.
- Select "Remove rows and continue" to automatically remove rows with errors and continue the process.

- Select the checkbox to confirm that your background check order complies with applicable laws and your agreement with Checkr.
- Select "Submit order."
Bulk order history can be viewed on the "Payment & billing" page of the Checkr Dashboard.
