Verification status returns
Checkr returns the following status values for Professional License Verifications.
If your candidate provides license information, the screening will complete as one of the following:
- Clear: The provided licensing information was verified.
- Consider: The provided licensing information was not found, expired, suspended, or revoked.
If your candidate indicates that they do not have a professional license, the screening will complete, and will display a status of Consider.
If your candidate enters a license which isn't supported by Checkr, Checkr will post a message to them during the Checkr Hosted Apply Flow. The screening will be Suspended, and Checkr will contact you to understand why the candidate's license wasn't supported.
Professional License Verifications may be run as a standalone Check.
Candidates will be asked to select the state in which they are licensed, whether the license is held by their business or in their own name, and the certifying organization from a customer-defined list of organizations. They are then asked to enter their license number.
They will then be presented and asked to acknowledge receipt of applicable forms and notifications, including Summary of Your Rights Under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) and an Acknowledgement and Authorization for Background Check.
After the candidate consents, Checkr will initiate the verification process.
