There may be several different reasons some estimates are more than a few days. There may be at least one county on the report that requires a clerk to search for physical records. Or the search may take place during a seasonal hiring spike causing queues at the courts of the counties to be searched to also spike. Often, counties aren’t staffed to deal with this increased demand. Perhaps your candidate has a common name, which means Checkr will take extra precautions to ensure that any records that are returned belong to that candidate.
